The China Declaration
(If you agree the Chinese Communist Party must change and want to just sign the declaration, please go here.)
America’s Declaration of Independence recognized the universal truth that all men are created equal, and they are endowed with certain unalienable rights. First and foremost is Safety: One should face no fear of unprovoked harm from another human being. Second is Freedom: No one can stop another from doing as he wishes, so long as he does not infringe upon the rights of another. Third, Free Speech: No one can prevent another from freely sharing ideas and information. Fourth, the Right to Vote.
To secure these rights, governments are instituted among men and women, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. Whenever a government consistently and dramatically tramples on these liberties, the governed possess the right to alter or abolish it and lay a new foundation to protect and foster their fundamental rights.
Should the international community witness a repressed people rendered unable to rebel against their oppressors, and that regime also has proven itself a menace to world peace and freedom, other countries have the individual and collective right to foment the changes that such a nation’s embattled citizens cannot secure for themselves.
As leaders of the Free World, we are poised to advance the cause of peace. Human events sometimes command free nations to stand up, protest, and stop another power's egregious actions that abuse their own citizens. While nations may watch the opposed suffered, ultimately liberated people must elect their leaders.
This guides the right and duty of free countries to act. Inaction, short of military intervention, would be immoral. Diplomatic, cultural, and commercial pressure, and covert action are perfectly acceptable tools to transform tyrannies into free societies.
These principles apply to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which has subjugated the Chinese people since 1949. The CCP has perpetrated massive atrocities against its own population since the dark days of Mao Zedong. When dealing with other countries, the CCP routinely lies, violates bilateral agreements, and breaks international law.
This list of the CCP’s abuses and usurpations is long, but not exhaustive:
Internal Aggressions
• China represses its citizens’ free speech through technology by closing WeChat accounts of those who do not parrot the CCP’s official line.
• China arrests and jails those who dissent from the CCP’s opinions and edicts.
• The CCP places its financial interests above those of the Chinese people.
• Within Xinjiang Province’s internment camps, human rights abuses include widespread rape and torture. Chinese authorities have banished some 1.8 million people, primarily Muslim Uyghurs, to these off-limits internment camps.
• The CCP demolished Hong Kong’s protective shield outlined in the Sino-British Joint Declaration, which was registered with the United Nations. The CCP’s obliteration of its solemn agreement with Great Britain, Hong Kong’s previous protector, crushed the precious rights of citizens to speak freely, publish at will, vote for their leaders, and remain safe within their homes and property.
• Since 1951, The CCP systematically has conducted a cultural genocide against Tibet and its people aiming to destroy their national and cultural identity.
• The CCP has forced women to endure 400 million abortions to protect its one-child policy.
• The CCP restricts its peoples’ access to foreign news and opinions about the CCP’s controversial actions inside and outside of China.
• China closely monitors and severely limits religious liberty.
• China’s surveillance state monitors all citizens through electronic devices and other means.
• The CCP denies due process and hinders the development of an objective judicial system. It applies the law selectively, to benefit its allies and destroy its opponents.
External Aggressions
• The CCP smuggles fentanyl ingredients and other poisonous chemicals via Mexican drug lords into the United States. Each year, fentanyl kills more than 81,000 people in the U.S. and has become the No. 1 cause of death of Americans aged 18 to 45.
• The CCP breaks trade agreements including its 2001 signature on the pact that welcomed it into the World Trade Organization.
• The CCP violates its 2020 Economic and Trade Agreement with the U.S.
• The CCP steals and profits from American and Western intellectual property.
• The CCP threatens to invade Taiwan, intimidates that nation with belligerent military actions, and sanctions those who support the Republic of China’s independence.
• The CCP helps Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's war on Ukraine through a “no limits” partnership and funds the Kremlin's unprovoked colonization of this independent nation by buying billions of dollars of Russian oil.
• China lies about the COVID-19 virus which it unleashed or at least, failed to warn the world promptly after an accidental pathogen release. Whatever its origins, China's deceit contributed to the avoidable deaths of some 6.5 million people worldwide, coupled with a massive global economic calamity.
Repeated attempts to remedy the above internal and external aggressions have failed:
• Forty countries worldwide have called on China to respect the human rights of Xinjiang’s Uyghur community.
• Calls between U.S. President Joe Biden and China’s President Xi Jinping failed to discourage China from aiding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
• The Chinese subjugation of Hong Kong received global condemnation but triggered zero change from China.
• China said it would ignore international court rulings regarding its behavior in the South China Sea, particularly regarding the Philippines.
Thus, today, we declare ourselves individually dedicated to abolishing the CCP as it stands and allowing the Chinese people to enjoy the freedoms that they rightly deserve.
We, the undersigned leaders among free nations, hereby support The China Declaration:
